25 Years of Mixxx,
Intergalactic DJ Contest Deadline Round 1 extended
Thanks to the publicity surrounding Mixxx's 25th Anniversary, many DJs and music enthusiasts have recently discovered Mixxx and its community.
We received numerous requests to extend the video submission deadline for the 1st Round of the 25 Years of Mixxx Intergalactic DJ Contest, giving these new users a chance to participate as well.
Therefore, Round 2 will be merged with Round 1, and the deadline for submitting a video for Round 1 has been extended to November 4 (the original deadline for Round 2). The community will then choose its finalists.
All other rules stay unchanged.
Brief summary:
Mixxx turns 25, and the community is celebrating with a DJ contest open to everyone, all styles welcome. No jury: the community votes for its favourites.
To participate: create a video in which Mixxx is fullscreen and you are performing live. Round 1 set: max 6 min, must include the samples (or song lyrics containing the words) "Mixxx"/"Mix" and "25", each clearly audible three times, plus 2 tracks at least 25 years old and 25 BPM apart.
Video deadline: 4 Nov 2026, 18:00 CET
