Electrix Tweaker controller with CoolorCaps
Native Instruments Kore (just used for sound card)
DJ Tech Tools Chroma Cables
Allen & Heath Xone XD2-53 headphones
Lenovo Ideapad z570 laptop (Intel Core i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB hard drive) running Mixxx 1.12 beta on Fedora 22 plus old NEC MultiSync LCD 1810 XtraView monitor (extra monitor not taken out of the room)
Bose SoundDock Portable speakers (the 1/8" stereo jack is broken, so I got an adapter for the iPod dock )
Trader Joe's green tea :P
It all fits in that giant REI Mars 80 backpack in the left of the picture, ready for biking. Runs about 50 minutes on battery power before my laptop battery runs out.

Also in this picture:
Raspberry Pi Model B (version 1) with 2 TB Western Digital My Passport USB 3.0 hard drive
ancient Yamaha PSR-36 keyboard for practicing singing scales
Dark Monk fire staff

Big upgrades since my last post:
RME Babyface Pro sound card
Sennheiser HD-25 headphones
Hercules Stands DG400BB laptop stand
Logitech M705 mouse (if you don't have a mouse for DJing, I recommend it)
same Electrix Tweaker controller, Bose SoundDock Portable speakers, and Lenovo Z570 laptop. I put the speakers on top of a stack of mostly paperback books to absorb the vibrations of the speakers and it made an improvement to the sound.
Sensaphonics ER-15 earplugs in front of the controller (not in use at home)

In the back left corner is a Hercules (not to be confused with Hercules Stands) P32 controller waiting to be mapped and a Rane SL2 sound card waiting to have a Linux driver written for it :)

In the back right is a Monoprice 7 port USB 2.0 hub and an LG USB CD drive for those rare gems that can't be found online in a lossless format.

My new more "portable" rig :)

It's a Numark Mixtrack Pro with a built in Lemaker Banana Pro. Running Ubuntu 16.04, Mixxx 2.0
Then I built two speakers for "booth channel" (same channel as the headphones )

Then I have two Active Top Pro 600W each. ( a sub is on it's way )

My own personal rig is portable, and stashed away when home, so there's not much to take photos of.

For what it's worth, last spring I was asked to DJ for a car show in Venice. Very nice people, happy to do it, and since my system (amp and speakers) had been put away for awhile I dug it out, blew the dust off, and checked it out. There's a reason: one channel of the amp cuts off intermittently. Always at a gig, never on the bench. It's modular, so I've swapped preamps, volume controls, and various other points to try an narrow it down, but it's so rare that I can't remember what I've done. BUT -- let it play at home for three days, perfect. Took it to the show, you guess it -- played for three minutes and the left channel crapped out. Ran all four speakers from the right channel, go me through the show, but I decided that was this amp's swan song. But, if I don't do this often, what's the point in buying an amp?

Sure enough, I was asked to do a show this summer. Bought an amp -- an iNuke 3000 by Behringer. It is a class D amp, 3000 watts and only weighs 6 pounds! I also bought a Behringer mixer, so now everything fits in the road case -- except -- darn it, the mike needs a preamp, so there's still an extra piece. Whatever, it sounded GREAT and the show promoters complimented me on how good it sounded.

Got another show coming up. BTW, sometimes I get paid, but many of these shows help the community -- charities and such. I make my money doing other things, this is fun -- and it's my contribution. If I get money, it goes toward paying for the stuff.

Backlit keyboard and mouse
Cooling rig for a stand when I take it to places
