Sorry for the bad quality... and don't mind all the wires -- normally, I use my desktop computer.

That's a Stanton STR8-60 on the left and a T.80 on the right, with a M-Audio X-Session Pro in the middle.

I have an unnaturally powerful configuration for the X-Session that I'm still perfecting. I'll post it up when I'm done.

Nice setup! Btw, how's the torque of the Stanton T.80? Is it similar to the Technics 1200's?

It's not bad, but based on my experiences with a friend's Technics, it's definitely not as high. The STR8-60 has very low torque though, so I've gotten used to having a very light touch and "helping" it when I want to start it.

@boc Indeed! A very old school gear, just for home mixxxing. I wouldn't take them to a real gig. Basically, let's go by parts:

The mixer is a Numark DM-1800 from 1982 or something. My father used to used it in his mobile sound system in the 80's. It is a rock, but, it has faced the inclement pass of time and use. It has some broken faders, fixable, but hard to find them in Costa Rica. As you see upstairs, three lines, one mic, double master, and no killers so I have to use Mixxx EQ killers

The Laptop is a Compaq Presario 700 of 2001, heavy as hell! Nowadays, it has 256mb of RAM, 40 GB Hard Disk, 32mb VRAM (Unstable with Waveforms, that's why I have it with no waveforms), built-in sound card (And I'm looking for a inexpensive 1$ sound card, just for playing around) and a AMD Athlon Processor of 700mhz, unoverclockable by BIOS. It has installed Debian GNU/Linux 6 and Mixxx 1.9 from the Sid Repository. It is a piece of wreck as well, but it does the job. The only thing is that I cannot play two songs at same time because when they are load, you hear clips and music stops for a while, maybe because the HDD is too slow, but heaven knows!

@5hortbu5 : No need to be ashame... Everybody starts with sheep controler or decks... and it's not the controler that makes the mix, I think it's the fusion of the skills and the story you wanna tell...

By my concern, I still own my old hercules mk2 and play sometimes with it.
