New mixxx book???

Postby jocampo » Sat Jan 02, 2010 3:02 pm

I was checking 64studio page and found they are promoting a new tutorial book for Linux Media free software. I wonder if the book includes a chapter for mixxx:

Anyone, had the chance to check or buy it? I've found lot of information here and on google about mixxx, but I always prefer books for handy/quick reference without having to use Internet.

This was pointed out to me on amazon the other day. Apparently it does include something about Mixxx although I have no idea what, none of the development team were involved in the authoring process. If anyone does have a chance to look at a copy I'd be interested to know what's in there :)

Hi Adam

I exchanged some lines with the author via Amazon as well, blog section of book. He pointed me to the TOC which is located at: http://www.freesoftwarecreative.com/table_of_contents

Price is not too expensive so I probably will get it and share opinion with the forum folks here... btw, a shame you guys were never contacted. For that kind of Projects, contacting the software developers is always a good idea and also boost sales numbers 'cause provides more credibility. But let me check the book myself 1st.

This book can certainly be useful, but I don't think it will solve all the questions. It is more convenient for me to use online services and online books, where I can find the necessary information. For example, at https://papersowl.com/examples/ I can find information on any topic. This is very convenient for me, because it saves my time and makes the search less time consuming. So I think it will be useful to many people.
