Postby CosmonautQ » Fri Jan 03, 2020 11:07 pm

I mix with - numark dj2go2 using Serato
external sound card - SOUND BLASTERX G5
Streaming software - Streamlabs OBS

The external has optical in and out, headphone and mic jack and was having trouble going Mixer Main output to Optical In and Out of the soundcard for Streamlabs OBS to get Audio for streaming / recording.
Any thoughts on how to set any of this up to get audio to streamlabs and also in my headset lmk what you come up with guys need help thx!

Make sure the sound source is not muted on the mixer.
Some audio management software (such as Nahimic 2 or Sonic Studio sound) or a motherboard audio program (such as Realtek HD Audio Manager or Sound Blaster Recon) is known to cause problems. Try closing the program and checking if Windows Task Manager is running any process with a similar name to close it. If that doesn't work, try going to the Windows boot device in "Windows Sound Settings", right-click the sound device you're using, click "Properties", then go to the "Advanced" tab and uncheck the priority of the application mode The box "give uniqueness" and should fix it.

Select a desktop audio device (Sound Settings) manually, and you'll use it as the default device in Windows Sound, instead of setting it as the default. Alternatively, you can set it to "disable" and add "capture audio output" to the scene in which you want the desktop sound, and then select the device that is set as the default device in Windows Sound.
Install Windows C Redistributable

As a last resort, you can temporarily use alternative programs to capture audio, such as VoiceMeeter Banana. The program allows you to set it as a default device and then connect it to Streamlabs OBS using a virtual audio cable to capture desktop sound. You can find various guides online (like this one) or on YouTube. :)
