[solved] Recording external mixer

Postby le3d » Wed Nov 21, 2018 3:54 am

Hi Forum,

I am new with mixxx and still learning stuff.

My setup: ver 2.1.6, audio card: traktor a6; external mixer and 1 record player, 1cdj.

I am switching between digitl/dvs and analog audio.

All mixing is done on the external mixer.

Question: how can I record my output from the mixer, which I am fedding back into in1+2?

I tried specifying in1+2 as aux or mic input and I see an input!

Scenarios: using aux or mic input
1. I record either both channels (as I am not using the software mixer) fully ignoring my external mix
2. I turn master mix off in config, then I get a yellow record button which down’t let me record
3. I turn Master knob to 0 and aux/mic on: my recording is blank

So in the end what I would like is record in1+2 and nothing else (and not hear 1+2 in addition to my outputs). My mixer has a second output for the speakers.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you in advance! :)

Use the Record/Broadcast input, not the microphone or auxiliary inputs. Note that there is a bug that requires the "Master mix" option to be enabled for this to work.
I heard FLAC and I haven't gone back.

Hi Be!

Awesome, it works perfectly. I must have been blind completely overlooked this input!

Cheers! :D
