Hi

This is not the most constructive comment in the world but I think that the new drivers work great on linux. Theres a greater flexibility, much greater than windows ever had for the controller. Good job and thanks very much. You've saved my skin on numerous occasions!

After a long battle i got the latest version of ubuntu installed. I had some problems installing the drivers for my MK2 but managed to get them installed. My next problem is trying to install the mixx package i get this error

Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libid3tag0 (>= 0.15.1b)

I am a total noob when it comes to linux. :(

EDIT

I fixed it WOOOOOOOT WOOOOOOOOOOT Controller seems to be working real smooth with give it a good testing in report back.

AWESOME JOB MIXX PEEPZ

Thanks

Hi,
I'm using the Hercules MK2 with much fun with Ubuntu 8.10.
But in the moment i have to keep Ubuntu 8.10 and 9.04 on my Laptop.
I wanted to use 9.04 only, but when i try to run Mixxx, the Hercules seems to hang after a while.
I dont think it has anything to do with Mixxx. Its the driver. Can somebody tell me how to debug the driver, to post the bug?

Hi,
i'm running Ubuntu UNR on a Medion akoya E1210 and everything works just fine. I use my Hercules MKII with Mixxx, the drivers installation went ok and the device is recognized by the software and every pot/fader works perfectly. Unfortunately Mixxx itself seems quite unstable because it happens that if a song is playin' on one deck and i load another one on the other deck the software hangs, i can still see faders/pots moving but no sound at all.
Any hint?

Thanks

If you're on Ubuntu, try using the OSS API. https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx/+bug/383431

I'm having quite a lot of problems getting this to work with the real-time kernel (using Mixxx 1.7.0). The problem is described in more detail here:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1165372

Any suggestions would be appreciated. :)

Hey Guys. I've been using Mixxx 1.6.1+ for a while now and I love it.

I bought the Hercules DJ Control MP3 e2 yesterday but I can't get it to work with my netbook.
I downloaded the kernel module and control panel from the Hercules website but my netbook won't recognise the DJ console when I open Mixxx or the Control Panel.

I'm using Ubuntu Netbook Remix on an Acer Aspire One (ZG5) if that matters.

***EDIT: Looks like the mp3 e2 isn't supported by the current kernel module...bah!***
