Vestax VCI 100

Postby ZeJunkie » Mon Jan 04, 2010 9:32 am

Hello nice Mixx community.

First of all many thanks for developing this awesome mixing software.

I recently purchased a Vestax VCI 100 midi controller which I fell in love immediately. One of the primary reasons I picked it was due to Mixx actually supporting it in house. More or less it does but there is something which bugs out. The jog wheel support doesn't work as it should (well inmho that is). I don't know if I need to tweak something in the settings or there is no full support for it yet but the slightest touch on the jogwheel makes the track in the deck to play in an infinite ultra fast forward mode and there is nothing stopping it. Am I missing something or need to tweak settings a bit or this feature is just in the ToDo list for a future version?

Any help highly appreciated,

All the best and a happy new year.

Yup, that sounds like something that needs tweaking. We developers can't work on controllers we don't have, so please take a look at this information you can use to tune the jog dials to work as you like: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=949

I'am having the same problem. That is, with the touch sensor. Switching the "vinyl mode" buttons off solves the problem temporarly
'cause than the sensors don't work anymore.
Problem must be somewhere in :

old midi mapping file works with the old midi file with mixxx 1.6.0.x
old midi mapping file does not work with 1.7.2

hello,
i'm also having the same problem.

now i'm using mixxx 1.8.0 beta1 on both of Linux(Ubuntu 9.10 amd64) and Windows XP(32bit),
and Vestax VCI-100 doesn't work correctly. and yes the problem is jog-bug.

actually mixxx 1.7.1 on windows was fine. the jog works.
but 1.7.1 on ubuntu was not. jog was buggy as same as now.

i don't think this is only because of buggy preset xml. it's depends on our platforms as well.

anyway have anyone tried writing own preset by own?? i suppose i should...
